Everyone who was able to attend said good things about our celebration of being in your nineties in 2017. Hetton History Society put together a gallery of pictures of Hetton & Easington Lane which created a great deal of interest and brought back memories for almost everyone there. Our Welcome Café in the Apostolic Church each Monday from 10-12.30, is proving to be a popular place to eat. In the three weeks since our launch we have served 114 meals - much enjoyed by adults and children alike. Very soon we'll have our IT facilities which can be used free of charge. On Wednesday 8th November we're celebrating "Being 90 in 2017". We are blessed to have 12 members of our lunch club who are in their nineties, all of whom continue to live independently in their own homes. We thought it would be great to celebrate this, so they will be guests of honour at our Nonagenarian Lunch Party - pictures of the event to follow.
